Route: Bishkek – National Nature Park “Ala-Archa” - Bishkek
Description: This type of hiking is of average difficulty. The trek goes along the northern slopes of the Kyrgyz Range. It starts from the National Nature Park “Ala-Archa”. Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan situated at the foot of snow white Ala – Too mountains. Ala – Archa is the Kyrgyz national Nature Park. Ala – Archa canyon is a very grand, rugged but accessible gorge south 45 km of Bishkek. It is possible sit by a waterfall all day, hike to glacier (and ski on it, even in summer).
Itinerary.
Day 1 Arrival in airport “Manas”. Transfer from airport “Manas” to Bishkek (40 km from Bishkek). Accomodation in Hotel. Rest. City tour in Bishkek. Visiting Museums, Eastern Bazaar, Souvenirs Shops.
Day 2 Transfer from Bishkek to National Nature Park “Ala-Archa” (45 km from Bishkek). Trekking up till “Racek Hut” (trek time 4 -6 h) . Accommodation in tents (3250 m above sea level).
Day 3 Ascent to Box Peak (4239 m above sea level, kategory - easy), via Ak-Say Glasier (3300 m above sea level). Accommodation in tents (3250 m above sea level).
Day 4 Trekking down to “Alplager” (3-4 h). Transfer to Bishkek (45 km from Bishkek). Accomodation in Hotel.
Day 5 Transfer to the airport “Manas” . Fly home.
