Alamedin gorge"Tepliye kluchi" ("Hot springs") mountain camp-site
Length: 35 km
If you want to combine pleasure and use we offer you a trip to Alamedin gorge and "Tepliye cluchi" mountain camp-site. At about ten kilometers distance from the camp-site there is a mountain-skiing base with three elevators. The lengths of ski tracks are 200, 400 and 1200 metres. There is a snowy plateau for racing skiing lovers. After skiing and tobogganing the group is transferred to "Tepliye cluchi" mountain camp-site. The camp-site is located in the beautiful gorge with precipitous slopes covered with bushes, at an altitude of 1890 metres above sea level. At the territory of the camp there is a covered swimming pool filled with hot mineral water (about +420C), radon baths, a spring with medicinal drinking water and a fitness gym. At the period from May to October you can go for one, two and three day walking and riding trips through Alamedin gorge and side gorges to numerous waterfalls, alpine lakes and meadows covered with a variegated carpet of motley grass, and further to eternal glaciers.
The Great Sulu-Terek Dry CanyonThe length of excursion: 300 km
Season: all the year round
The canyons are situated alongside Bishkek-Balikchy motorway (140 km far from Bishkek). You can get there by car, bus or train. After 40-50 minute walk at a leisurely pace the valley of castles, columns and sculptures is relieved in front of your eyes. It is one of masterpieces of the natural architecture.
It is a beautiful place in any season, but most interesting one from May to October when motley grass and many-coloured flowers gladden the eyes. It is the valley of contrasts and bright colours. It is the Temple, the great theatre of nature.
When you find yourself in the canyon you will be struck for a moment by its regal view. Fantastic figures, fairy tale castles and towers from red petrified clue of tertiary period will certainly impress you. Unusual plants of desert and semi-desert surrounded by snowy mountains and silence broken by eagles's scream from time to time. Isn't it the exiting scenery?
Issyk-Ata gorge. Tuyuk gorge.The length of tour: 1-2 days.
The length of route: 170 km.
The gorge features not only favourable climatic conditions, but wonderful balnological recourses as well. There is a swimming pool with hot mineral water there (+420 C). The springs have been known since ancient times. This fact is proved the image of Buddha sculptured on the rock.
The local aksacals (wise men) tell legends about wonder working, medicinal power of water in the springs. One of them is narrating about a girl who bathed in the springs for all her life and remained young and beautiful till the death.
But the most popular among the nature-lovers is Tuyuk gorge. It is famous for the relic Tien-Shan firs and evergreen "archa" groves; the bushes of barberry, honeysuckle, currant and sea-buckthorn; the cascade of waterfalls and alpine lake; the diverse animal world. In this gorge you can stay in a mountain cabin for some nights.
