Short description: This tour is going to give you the possibility to enjoy the amazing beauty of Central Tien-Shan mountains, to see one of the most magnificent mountain lakes, to indulge in your hobby of horse-back riding, and last but not least, to get acquainted with the ancient culture of Kyrgyz nomads, that is still alive today in their Djailoos (summer alpine pastures) where you will be welcomed with warmest hospitality and invited for everything they have in their yurts (Kyrgyz national dwelling).

Detailed tour program:
st day: Bishkek - Kochkor Arrival in Bishkek in the early morning by plane. Transfer to the hotel**, have a rest and then breakfast. In the late morning we start our city sightseeing tour including the bazaar in the morning, the main squares in the city centre, most important being the central square Ala-Too with the Historical Museum. On the way, we have lunch in a small restaurant. In the afternoon, we start our drive to the village of Kochkor in Naryn Oblast (200km, 3 hours). At about 19:00 arrival at CBT home stays in Kochkor, where you will be greeted by local families and a tasty traditional dinner. Overnight in home stays.
nd day: Kochkor SaralaSaz - AkBel After breakfast (about 09:00) we go to Djailoo SaralaSaz by car (app. 1 hour) through some tiny villages and over alpine meadows and rivers. There, where we meet the family that is lending us their horses for the trip. Get to know the horseman and your horse there, and then we start our horse-back riding trip. We leave at about 11:00, riding over alpine meadows where you see a lot of different yurts, where we for sure will be invited somewhere to have kymyz, the national drink (fermented mares milk). On the way we do a pick nick, where you also can enjoy the first views on the beautiful panoramas of the Kyrgyz Tien-Shan Mountains. But be aware that those you see on the first day, are only to wet your mouth! We arrive at Djailoo Ak-Bel in the afternoon (pure trekking time is about 4 hours). We are awaited by the family of the Djailoo with kymyz at first place, then you will have tea with a traditional snack usually consisting of bread, diverse very tasty milk products and jam. Then there is some free time, where you could have a walk around, for example up the hill behind the yurt to get the view of a mountain gorge and small river down there. If there is enough time, we could even go down there to eat some of the tasty and refreshing herbs. In the evening, the family will prepare dinner for you, then overnight in the yurt.
rd day: AkBel pass Buchuk - Sook We have to get up early, as this is a quite long day, and leave the Djailoo at about 08:00 after breakfast. We go down to the valley Irizuu over some hills. Down there, you will find a house that was quit and is now slowly falling apart. In the valley, you will have some of your few chances for galloping, as most of the time it would be too exhausting for our horses. After the valley, we start our way up the mountain to reach pass Buchuk, which offers you amazingly beautiful panoramic views to both sides when crossing it. Going down a quite steep grassy slope, we come to a magnificent small mountain river, where we stop for a long lunch break. Afterwards, we still have quite a way to do: Going down to the gorge Sook, where we have to cross a river that is quite deep, so that eventually youll wet your feet although we cross it on horses. Then we go up to Djailoo Sook, which is situated on a place of breathtaking beauty: at the end of a mountain gorge, to the left and right surrounded by green alpine mountains, and in front of you, you already can see the snow-covered pass Kuch Bel, that we are going to cross the next day. At the Djailoo, we have tea as usual, and then some free time and a traditional dinner. Overnight in the yurt.

th day: Sook pass KuchBel - Koldosuu We get up at about 07:00, have breakfast and start at about 09:00 to conquer the pass Kuch Bel. Depending on the weather and whether there is still much snow, we probably have to go on the back of the hill to the right of the yurt, where you find a mountain desert on the top: Wide alpine meadows where you feel as if nobody has ever been there. A bit further up, we have a perfect view on the surrounding snow-covered mountain ranges and some neighboring valleys. From there on, we start to get up to the pass, where it could be quite windy and freezing. We plan to go down by a gorge produced by a small mountain river, but if there is still snow lying (which should not be the case in July and August) we have to descend on a steep scree slope. After the descent, we have a rest on a small elevation on the slope, where there are some rocks in the back, but the ground actually with grass, making it a comfortable and beautiful place for lunch. After our pick nick, we descend further through alpine gorges where you find a wide variety of mountain flowers. In the afternoon, we arrive to Djailoo Koldosuu, where the family awaits us with tea and a perfect atmosphere for having a rest. Dinner, overnight in the yurt.
th day: Koldosuu pass KyzylKia - Utor We get up at about 08:00 and after breakfast start to cross some hills (and also the border between Kochkor and Naryn region) to arrive at the Djailoo KyzylKia, where we have lunch with a charming family. Afterwards, we cross the pass KyzylKia (2600m) and stay at the Djailoo Utor, which is situated in alpine meadows with the most beautiful mountain flowers you could imagine. This day is a shorter one, with only about 3 4 hours on horse, so it will give you some time to rest on the Djailoo and to recollect your energies. Dinner and overnight in the yurt.
th day: Utor Kilemche - SonKul We get up early and start our trek at about 08:00 leaving Djailoo Utor. We go over some hills and small passes to Djailoo Kilemche. On the way, you will see a variety of mountain gorges, most of them with small rivers, and slopes with flowering bushes. At the Djailoo Kilemche, we have to cross a bigger river, and then start our way up to our last mountain pass. On the way, we have lunch on a beautiful pasture, and some rest before conquering the last pass before the first view on our end point, the mountain lake SonKul. The pass isnt too difficult, but interesting, as the horses have to climb some rocks which can be quite adventurous sometimes. On the top, you can catch the first view of SonKul, of its waters between green hills. We go on over hills and marshy meadows to the shores of the lake, where we can have a rest in a yurt and some tea and a snack. In the late afternoon, we do the last part of our tour to the final yurt further to the east of the lake. There, we have dinner and stay overnight.

th day: SonKul - Bishkek This day is a relaxing one: Sleep as long as you want and enjoy the mountain lake during the rest of the morning. We afterwards have lunch in our yurt, and then start our drive back to Bishkek, which takes 5 to 6 hours. Arrival at about 19:00, transfer to the hotel**, time to take a shower. At about 20:30, we meet again for our farewell dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
th day: Departure After very early breakfast transfer to the airport and departure for your home-country.
