Short description:
This tour will give you the possibility to get to know an abundance of different lives, traditions, regions and natural landscapes within the same country: One day you’ll see how the Soviet Era still influences Kyrgyzstans cities, the next day you’re back to the roots of the Kyrgyz people on the summer pastures, sitting in a yurt with some shepherds, experiencing the real nomads life. After this we take you into a mixture of cultures in Karakol, then to lake Issyk-Kul to enjoy our country’s nature wonders together with its relaxing beaches and bars. Last, but not least, you’ll have the chance to visit Osh, which then lets you feel the culture of the Great Silk Road and the hospitality of the Uzbek people.
Itinerary:
Day 1:Bishkek (33 km) Arrival in Bishkek in the early morning, transfer to the hotel. Time to rest, then a city sightseeing tour including: Ala-Too Square, Philarmonic, Statue of Manas, Victory Square, etc Lunch. Continue city tour and free time. Dinner in restaurant, accommodation in the hotel.
Day 2:Bishkek-Ala-Archa (80 km) Excursion to AlaArcha. After breakfast we drive to this lovely nature reserve and go for a hike there. This day we have a picknick-lunch. In the evening we come back to Bishkek and have dinner in a restaurant.
Day 3: Bishkek-Son-Kul lake(290 km) Transfer from Bishkek to Kochkor. In Kochkor we enjoy a demonstration of traditional carpet making and have lunch. Then drive on to lake Son-Kul where we have a traditional dinner and stay overnight in yurts.
Day 4: Son-Kul lake- Town Karakol (290 km) In the morning visit of nomads, tasting of Kymyz (fermented mares milk) and some free time to walk around and enjoy the extraordinary surroundings. After we had lunch in our yurt we drive to Karakol, where we get accommodation with CBT. While having dinner, we still enjoy a kyrgyz folklore show.
 Day 5: Karakol- Issik-Kul lake (140 km) In the morning visit of the wooden Russian-orthodox church, the dungan mosque and the Przhevalsky-Museum. After lunch in Karakol we drive to the north of lake Issyk-Kul, where you have a free afternoon to relax. Dinner in our comfortable hotel where we stay overnight.
Day 6: Issik-Kul lake-Bishkek (260 km) In the morning free time to go swimming, lunch in the hotel. In the afternoon drive to Bishkek where on the way we visit the famous Burana tower (11th century. Dinner in a restaurant in town, accommodation in our hotel in Bishkek.
Day 7: Bishkek-town Osh (700 km) In the morning flight to Osh where our new transport meets us at the airport and then drives us to our guesthouse, where we have lunch. In the afternoon we start to discover the 3000-year-old town with a visit of the bazaar. When having dinner at our guesthouse, we enjoy a uzbek folklore show.
Day 8: Osh (As an option you may end the program with the possibilitiy to continue tour to Uzbekistan through Ferghana Valley or back flight to Bishkek 700 km).
In the morning we visit Sulaimans Throne and then have lunch in town. After this, you can walk around on your own, until it is time to go to the airport to get our evening flight to Bishkek or you may continue your trip to Uzbekistan through Fergana Valley.End of the program (Kyrgyz Part).
